We’re 6 weeks into the UK lockdown, and I’ve been mostly at home (apart from my weekly outing to Sainsbury’s) for the last 2 months. I can’t see us going back to life as usual any time soon, so naturally I’ve turned to my beloved streaming services to help me get through it. Between Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+, there’s an infinite supply of entertainment available, so I wanted to put together a list of everything I wanted to binge watch while stuck at home.
Gilmore Girls & Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life (Netflix)
Gilmore Girls will always be at the top of my binge watch lists. I’m currently knee deep in my sixth rewatch, and it’s just as heartwarming and comforting as the first time I saw it.
New Girl (Netflix)
I started watching New Girl when it was first airing on TV, but I never made it past the first series. I’ve heard amazing things about it, and it was recently all added to Netflix, so I can’t wait to get stuck in!
Gossip Girl (Netflix)
Gossip Girl is another one of those shows that I come back to. It’s fun, girly and filled with unrealistic drama, which makes for prime entertainment. Plus, it’s always fun to channel my inner Blair Waldorf.
I first watched Community a few years ago and thought it was hilarious. Super surreal, fun comedy that’s lighthearted and easy to watch. It was added to Netflix at the beginning of April and I’ve been itching to watch it again ever since.
The Simpsons (Disney+)
I’m a little ashamed to say that my fiancé and I have made it through 23 seasons of The Simpsons since we first signed up to Disney+. It’s just easy to throw on for background noise and is something you can watch when you don’t want to think too hard.
Wizards of Waverly Place (Disney+)
Controversial opinion, but I actually preferred Wizards of Waverly Place to Hannah Montana. I started rewatching it on Disney+ a few weeks ago and I will 100% be going back to it when I feel like I want to relive my teenage years.
The Mandalorian (Disney+)
I’m a huge Star Wars fan. In fact, The Mandalorian was one of the biggest selling points when it came to signing up for Disney+. We haven’t watched it yet, as we were waiting for all of the episodes to be online, but we’ve heard great things and can’t wait to watch it!
The Office US (Amazon Prime)
The Office is just a classic, easy watch. It’s funny and heartwarming in all the right places and I go back to it all of the time. Plus, Jim and Pam are relationship goals.
What are you planning on binge watching while you’re staying at home? Let me know in the comments!
